Slow Saturday

As I’m sitting here in the Giant parking lot, I’m thinking of how slow the day has been.

Double shift at work.

Nothing to do.

Trying to decide which tracks to release.

Buyers Remorse for Mass Effect 3 (who doesn’t have buyers remorse for that game, especially with those endings?)

I’m realizing that my social life is crap. It’s once in a blue moon that I actually get to do stuff because something always gets in the way (people having other plans, work, the.sudden hospital visit, etc.)

I’m trying to think of what to do to improve it. Maybe a new set of friends. Maybe a girlfriend (no one who doesn’t tell me she isn’t interested, and have me jumping thru hoops and all that). Maybe I should take more hours at work. Today though I had a serious thought.
Maybe I should move.

My sister who lives in NY has been talking about moving back down to Bethesda, and honestly for the moment I wouldn’t mind living with her. Living in a new area, meeting new people, that should be able to help.

Sorry I have not updated this blog in a while.
Busy, busy times. Dropped another EP a couple weeks ago and about two singles. (Check defjusticeproductions.bandcamp.com for it) Also got a new job as well at a hospital working the graveyard shift.
This post is getting into the subject of that. I met a man on the job. He has been a custodian there for about 40 years now. He gave me some really good advice. After six months to a year in, I should transfer to a desk job, otherwise after one or ten years, I will be stuck…that is something I do not want. But other than that, that is the new updates. See ya.

Sorry I don’t keep this updated as much as I used to. I am working on switching jobs (finally) plus I still am working on mastering this album. Working with two different DAWs does not help. Different tracks have different sounds. If you know of a good mastering program, go ahead and let me know then I will run all the tracks through there before I release it.

Also, for those who do not know, I am removing the “Chapter 1 EP” from the defjusticeproductions.bandcamp.com page. It got good support, but I feel that it didn’t get enough promotion that I tried to get for it. Some people bought it, others were looking for a handout. If after I remove it you are still interested in getting it you can always let me know. I do know that I am probably gonna remix some of the songs on there and release them as singles (especially that Brooklyn track).

Other than that everything else is ok. See you all on the flipside.

“Crossroads” backstory

Like I said in a eariler tweet, a friend of mine had sent me a text saying how my beats tell stories. I told him to wait until he hears the album, but really I do try to have my beats tell a story. “Crossroads” does tell a story. Really it is:
1: Boy meets Girl
2: Boy falls for girl
3: Boy screws up
4: Decisions are made
5: Girl is gone
6: Boy moves on but…
7: Girl comes back
8: Boy sees through Girl
9: Boy is gone

That’s basically it. Hope you all enjoy it when I drop it. (Still thinking if it will be free or not)

What a life.

I work. My brother doesn’t.
I help around the house. My brother barely does.
I take responsibility for my actions when it comes to family. My brother doesn’t.

Yet I get thrown under the bus for the stuff he does. Apparently people think I should take responsibility for his actions. I’m the younger brother. I shouldn’t be doing that.

Hey,

So I decided to change the title of the album to Crossroads. I am giving it a central theme with the titles, and also I have come up with a new album cover for the album. I am working on promoting it as well. I had also planned to collaborate with different people on the album, but it looks like there will be only one collaboration on there, the other ones don’t look like they will pan out (the other artists’ side not mine)

Other than that things are going well. Busy with the music and also working more since it is the holiday season. That’s all I got right now. Take care of yourselves.
